How Sourcenia works
Find a supplier, check it, contact it directly. Nothing passes through us — not the negotiation, not the money.
For buyers
From a search to a supplier's telephone number in three steps.
1. Search or browse
Type the material you need into the search box, or work down the category tree. Filters narrow the list by country, minimum order quantity and verified suppliers, and every filter stays in the address bar — a search you will want to run again next quarter can simply be bookmarked.
2. Compare on the numbers
Open the listings that look right. Minimum order quantity, unit, lead time, country of origin, HS code and delivery terms sit in the same place on every product page, so two suppliers can be compared without first translating one page into the shape of the other.
3. Contact the supplier directly
Press Show contact details to reveal the phone, WhatsApp or email, then call or write yourself. The conversation is between you and the supplier: nothing is relayed through us, nothing is edited, and we take no share of whatever you agree. An on-site quote request form is still being built; until it opens, the contact details are the way through.
Before you send money to a new supplier
We are not a party to your trade, so these checks are yours to run. They take an afternoon and they are the cheapest insurance in the business.
- Ask for the company registration or tax number and check it against the public register in the supplier's country.
- Call the number on the profile and speak to someone. A company that cannot take a phone call is a company you know nothing about.
- Order a paid sample before a full load, and keep part of that sample to compare against what actually arrives.
- Put Incoterms, packing, tolerances and inspection in writing before any money moves.
- Never accept a late change of bank details by email. Confirm the account by phone, on a number you already had.
- On a first order, prefer documentary terms — a letter of credit, or documents against payment — over a plain advance transfer.
- Sourcenia never collects payment for a supplier, and nobody from Sourcenia will ever ask you to send money to a personal account.
For suppliers
Publish once, and be found by the buyers who are already searching for what you make.
1. Create your account and company profile
Register, then fill in the company profile: what you produce, where you are based, how many people work there and at least one contact channel. Add a logo and a short description — a profile without either is the one buyers scroll past.
2. Publish your products
Each product needs an English title, a category, a photo and the ordering facts: minimum order quantity, unit, lead time and origin. Prices are optional. If you would rather quote per enquiry, choose Contact for price — buyers will still find the listing through the filters.
3. Answer the buyers who arrive
Your profile and products go live after a review, normally within one business day. Buyers then reach you directly by phone, WhatsApp or email, and every time a visitor reveals one of those it is counted — that is how you tell real interest from idle browsing. The quote request inbox in your dashboard stays empty until the on-site form opens.
Questions we get asked
- Does Sourcenia cost anything?
- Browsing, contacting a supplier and listing a company are all free. Suppliers can pay for a featured placement if they want to appear higher in results, and the site carries advertising. There is no subscription and no fee for buyers.
- Do you take a commission on orders?
- No. No payment passes through the site, we never see the value of an order, and we are not a party to the contract you sign with a supplier.
- How do I know a supplier is real?
- A verified badge means we checked that the company is a registered business and that its profile is managed by someone reachable through that company. It is not an audit of quality, capacity or solvency, so run the checks in the list above as well — they take an afternoon and they are the cheapest insurance in the trade.
- Why do some listings not show a price?
- Raw material prices move with quantity, specification, delivery terms and the day's market. Many suppliers would rather quote per enquiry than publish a number that is already wrong by the time you read it. Those listings show Contact for price, and published prices are never converted into another currency — a converted price would be our guess, presented as the supplier's offer.
- How quickly will a supplier reply?
- That is up to the supplier. We do not sit in the middle, so we cannot promise a response time. Because contact details are shown directly, a phone call or a WhatsApp message is usually faster than email when a deadline is close.
- I am a supplier — how long does the review take?
- A profile submitted for review is normally looked at within one business day. If something is missing we tell you what it is, so the fix is one edit rather than starting the submission again.
