About Sourcenia

A directory of raw material suppliers — no commission, no payments, no middleman. Here is exactly what that means.

What Sourcenia is

Sourcenia is a directory of raw material suppliers. Buyers use it to find, compare and contact the companies that produce or distribute chemicals, textiles, polymers, metals, minerals, packaging and food ingredients — without an account, a subscription or a middleman.

Every listing belongs to the company that created it. The company writes its own profile, publishes its own products and answers buyers itself. We are the index that makes those companies findable, not a trading house standing between them and you.

A product page carries what a sourcing decision actually needs: minimum order quantity, unit, lead time, country of origin, HS code, delivery terms and technical specifications. When a supplier keeps its prices private, the page says so instead of inventing a number, and prices are never converted between currencies — a converted price is a guess presented as a fact.

What we are not

  • We sell nothing. There is no basket, no checkout, and no payment of any kind passes through Sourcenia.
  • We take no commission. What you agree with a supplier is between you and that supplier, and we never see the value of the order.
  • We are not an agent, broker, freight forwarder, escrow service, laboratory or inspection body.
  • We do not guarantee the quality, availability, safety or legality of any listed material. That responsibility stays with the supplier who published it.

This keeps the relationship simple: once you have the supplier's contact details, the commercial side is yours. It also means the usual precautions apply — the checklist on the How it works page is worth reading before you send money to a company you have just met.

Who it is for

On the buying side: procurement teams, manufacturers, workshops, traders and R&D groups looking for a material in commercial quantities, often in a country they have not bought from before.

On the supply side: producers, distributors and converters who want to be found by buyers outside their existing network. A small factory with a good product is usually invisible to a buyer three countries away; a search result costs nothing to appear in.

Sourcenia is a business-to-business site. It is not built for retail quantities or consumer sales, and listings are expected to reflect that.

How the site pays for itself

Browsing is free, listing a company is free, and contacting a supplier is free. Nothing is hidden behind a paywall. The site is paid for in two ways, and both are visible on the page:

  • Advertising. We show ads from third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense. Ads sit apart from listings and are marked as advertising.
  • Featured placements. A supplier can pay to have its company or one of its products shown higher in results. Every paid placement carries a Featured label wherever it appears — in search results, on category pages and on the home page.

What money cannot buy: the verification badge, a better position in an unlabelled result, or the removal of a competitor's listing. We say this in public because a directory that quietly sells its ranking is worth nothing to a buyer, and a buyer who stops trusting the results is worth nothing to a supplier.

What the verified badge means

A verified badge means we checked that the company exists as a registered business and that the person managing the profile can actually be reached through the company — not through a free mailbox alone.

It is not an audit. We do not inspect factories, test samples, confirm certificates or assess financial standing, and a badge is never a recommendation to buy. Treat it as one input among several, alongside your own references, documents and sample orders.

Languages and reach

The site is published in English and Turkish, and a buyer can read any listing in either language. Suppliers are asked for an English product title even when they add a local one, because a product with only a local name is invisible to most of the world's buyers.

Country, origin and delivery terms are recorded as standard codes rather than free text, so a buyer in one country can filter listings written by a supplier in another without both of them agreeing on wording first.
